There are few things better for a follower of Jesus Christ than being able to help someone in need. Whether you’re a parent, a friend, a spouse, a church member, or someone who does counseling in a more formal setting; when another person is hurting, you want to know what to say, and how to say it. And you want your words to be pleasing to God and ones that put the person to whom you’re speaking in the best position to move closer to the Lord. That is what biblical counseling training is all about.
Since 1977, Faith has been offering counseling and training based on God’s sufficient Word that seeks to take the truth of the gospel and address issues in ways that are biblical, compassionate, and comprehensive. By God’s grace and to His glory, tens of thousands of women and men have been trained using these principles in the US and around the world.
However, today is an entirely new day. We learned valuable lessons during the pandemic about how effective certain kinds of virtual training can be, and how desirable it is to many people around the world. So, for the first time ever, we’re able to provide all six tracks of our training throughout the calendar year in a broader array of formats than at any other time in our history.
In-Person
We will continue to offer in-person training in Lafayette in three formats:
- Track One Foundational Training on 11 consecutive Mondays in the spring, summer, or fall.
- The Biblical Counseling Training Conference (BCTC) each February that offers six different tracks of training.
- Our exciting one-day preconference the Saturday prior to the BCTC.
If you choose one of these options, you will receive valuable in-person instruction from a certified teacher who is actively doing biblical counseling ministry, electronic versions of all notes and handouts, 30-day access to all lectures virtually for review at your convenience, and the opportunity to purchase a hard copy of the notebook, if applicable, at an additional cost.
Instructor-Guided Online Training
We are launching brand new instructor-guided online training in the spring, summer, fall, and winter for all six tracks of our biblical counseling training. On one weekend for three consecutive months, a certified biblical counseling trainer who is actively counseling others in a local church setting will guide the learners through the lectures on Friday evening and Saturday. During that time, you can interact with the instructor online and participate in real-time Q&A sessions.
If you choose to register for an instructor-guided online conference, you will receive electronic versions of all notes and handouts, 30-day access to all lectures virtually for review at your convenience, and the opportunity to purchase a hard copy of the notebook at an additional cost.
Self-Guided On-Demand
To begin your biblical counseling journey, you can take Track One in a self-guided virtual format in either English or Spanish on-demand at any time you wish.
If you choose this option, you will receive electronic versions of all notes and handouts, 30-day access to all lectures virtually for review at your convenience, and the opportunity to purchase a hard copy of the notebook at an additional cost.
